由于委托很少，毛利侦探事务所门可罗雀，小兰不得不精打细算，小五郎也整日靠看自己上节目的录像打发时光。某日，小五郎收到一件神秘包裹，却对柯南和小兰隐瞒再三。正在这时，一通神秘电话打入事务所，柯南接听，却发现竟是一通搭错线的恐吓电话。小五郎对此全不上心，而柯南对此念念不忘。对方的声音与服部平次颇为相似，于是他请来服部一同调查。他们按照与事务所相近的电话号码逐一打去，终于发现一个姓岩爪的宝石商人和恐吓电话有关。他们赶到岩爪的公寓，得知警方已经先行到达，不久更知晓怪盗基德似乎也与此案有关。真相究竟如何？。The Avengers gather to celebrate their latest victory, but their celebration is quickly interrupted by the mysterious disappearance of Black Widow’s father, Red Guardian.
