唐士哲是杭州城内远近驰名的大厨，不仅做得一手好菜，对两个女儿的要求也非常严苛：每周末家庭聚餐必不可少，而且餐桌上摆的一定是素菜。两个女儿唐瓦儿、唐小兰崇尚一切现代文化，无肉不欢的她们从来对这种家庭仪式都抱着敷衍的态度，对自己各自感情生活也一知半解。。Aliens from the planet Zeta Reticuli invade Earth after the American Air Force shoot down one of their ships in the Nevada desert.
