Following the success of its 2023 series, the critically-acclaimed hit drama Shetland has been recommissioned by the BBC for two new series. A Silverprint Pictures production (part of ITV Studios) for the BBC, the double series commission - Shetland’s ninth and tenth - will film in locations on the Shetland Isles and across Scotland in 2024 and 2025.。Set in 1895, the film follows friends Ed and Frank who become brutal enemies in Oklahoma frontier territory when a rivalry develops over a woman who is set to inherit a prominent saloon. After a bounty hunter makes Ed disappear to a tortuous prison run by a sinister warden, he must learn the ways of an outlaw from a prison-mate to escape and exact his revenge.。
