老华侨欧阳占携女湄回乡,欲把湄嫁予指腹为婚的乡绅之子王耘。湄爱以村姑打扮在乡间留连,与耘偶遇,二人一见钟情且志趣相投,却不知对方身份。耘父王道行亦钟情于假扮村姑的湄,却纳作填房,遂迫耘履行盲婚之约。耘怒闯欧阳家反对婚事,方发现盲婚对象正是意中人,二人喜成眷属。。In the eighteenth century, a Spanish expedition is looking for seven cities of gold in a territory now known as California. A very difficult task due the opposition of the aborigines, but perhaps a divine intervention could help the Spaniards to save the life.。
