经验丰富的卡车司机加利布即将到达50万公里的行驶里程，这也是他所在公司的最高纪录，然而就在这个当下，他的背部突然感到一阵剧烈疼痛。加利布于是决定回家，并在家门口发现了一封信。他去了自己所在的村庄，为已故妻子的家人向他提出的赔偿索求进行辩护。村委会最后做出了一个不利于加利的裁决，给了他30天的时间来决定一个合理的赔偿。在加利布努力从背部受伤中恢复的同时，他被要求去训练一个新手司机，这让他开始担忧自己的工作和生活会逐渐变得无法掌握。就像任何一座里程碑一样，加利布也为自己的纪录付出了代价。。Each year, a father films his daughter on her birthday, asking her the same questions.
