Volpe是意大利语，对应英文是fox意为狐狸，这是女主的姓氏，剧中fox和Volpe都有人喊。Signora是意大利语女士的意思，所以剧名也可以翻译为《狐狸女士》。The film follows five teenagers who are stalked by a killer in the woods. However, when the killer accidentally dies, they realize they're trapped in the storyline of the movie and cannot leave until they fulfill its script.
