抗战胜利前夕，偏门偏科的军统特训班留级生许忠义被迫到即将开赴东北的中共部队，卧底期间被我军的言行仁义所感化，对共产党有了新的认识，决心向我党自首，成为“为民造福的人”。。失憶的軍人–尤利西斯，在邊遠地區被囚禁了七年，受盡折磨、經歷痛苦和創傷的他，從中東戰爭中逃脫返家，發現他的妻子–佩內洛普不見了，擔心她的失蹤與黑社會有關，尤利西斯開始在這座城市尋找他心愛的妻子，他能找到他的妻子嗎？這一路上又會發生什麼重大轉變？。The comedy plot unfolds around two totally different families: the Drahomanov working in culture and the Nalyvaychenko who are local businessmen.
