剧情简介

战国晚期，秦赵争锋，双雄对峙，至长平之战，秦统一天下初成定局。全剧从惊险刺激的和氏璧完璧归赵入手，推出了蔺相如。通过偷袭石城引出白起。其后渑池斗智，相如拜相，廉颇“负荆请罪”。蔺相如使秦不辱使命，为赵国赢得了休养生息之机。赵括能言善辩，颇得太子青睐，其父赵奢深藏不露，阏与打败秦军名扬天下。秦昭襄王为一统天下而废弃了母舅魏冉的相位，拜范雎为相，远交近攻屡屡奏效。秦国攻陷上党，廉颇拒守，使秦军进退两难。于是范雎买通缪贤，用反间计使赵王走马换将，启用了空谈兵法，毫无实战经验的赵括。白起分兵击破赵括，一夜坑杀赵国战俘四十多万。赵国震撼，蔺相如虽被罢相却挺身而出，使苏代游说范雎，智退秦兵。白起功败垂成，怒懑而归。秦王醒悟后又发兵攻赵，赵国已然众志成城，誓守都城。秦师久攻不胜，白起又不肯领兵，加之范雎和楚姬谗言，秦王大怒，致使白起饮恨而死。蔺相如和廉颇团结一心，秦军败逃，邯郸大捷。长平一役，赵国国力衰竭，元气大伤，邯郸保卫战虽胜，蔺相如却清醒地认识到秦国的统一趋势不可阻挡，果不出其所料，二十七年后，秦王政扫平六国，终于完成先祖秦昭襄王一统天下的夙愿。。French director Alain Guiraudie’s follow-up to his 2013 controversial and daring film STRANGER BY THE LAKE once again shocked the audience at Cannes Film Festival.
