本片改编自同名小说，讲述了主人公·梓失去了无可替代的挚友而止步不前，她不断给已故好友发送信息，由此开始，意想不到的邂逅接连发生，形成了一个巨大的圈子…。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
